The driver's side radiator cooling fan has seized and blown the motor and the fuse on my Safrane 3.0 V6 RT. I have to remove the offending fan and repair or replace it, but to get access to it seems to be a difficult job. It looks like the front of the car needs to be unbolted to get access. Can anyone give some advice to help me avoid making mistakes on the dismantle and refit for this job? Thanks.

Hi
Firstly if you need a replacement i will have one...somewhere
Its not a nice job to do,you should in an ideal world remove the front bumper, grille, the complete front panel etc,its long winded and lots of nuts and bolts will be seized up and its a pain,i stripped the front to take the engine out of a breaker and it was a curse.
Let us know if you want more help/info.

I suspected it was a nightmare! The longest job is the one that is never started, so I had better give it a spannering. Thanks for the reply.
