Yes Dave that gash on the rear quarter panel is odd, it's the only bodywork issue so I'm going to run it past a few body shops and get some quotes soon.

Saffles I'm sure Dave is right but I'll double check for you tomorrow. Can't believe how comfortable the seats are with the air pockets adjusted just right, I hate getting out of the car! And yes, first refusal noted haha, don't hold your breath though!!

It gave the "system malfunction" warning again this morning. I'm guessing its just a Safrane quirk and nothing to worry about? No warning lights and its only said it twice.

The Safrane met the rest of its friends today.

I thought I'd give the scuttle drains a clean as seems to be a standard job with every Renault and came across this part unplugged - I'm guessing its the alarm siren?

And I can confirm the air pockets are NOT linked to seat memory unfortunately.

Any ideas on how to get the passenger door back onto the central locking system? It stays open all the time and bothers me a bit.

Thats usually a sign of low fuel pressure in the fuel rail for the injectors. Most common causes are the fuel filter needing to be changed or the fuel pump.

Yes, They have a set of rechargables inside but often at this age they're knackered and the siren becomes intermittent. There is also a control box inside the panel where you'd normally have a glove box (on the left side) which can also go a bit screwy and when it does it will cause the hazards and alarm to activate for no apparent reason - even with the car unlocked. The nicads inside the siren can be replaced with fresh cells if you know what you're doing but the box inside the cabin I found I had to swap for another.

Not a clue. Probably the locking motor but I couldn't promise. What I do know is that they're a pain to get out and replace according to a friend who's had 5 saff's. I don't have spares of these either I'm afraid so may be a scrap yard job.

Brilliant, thanks for all the help. I'll just leave the alarm alone, more trouble than they're worth! Yep all mine, the Saf fits right in :)
