Hi again all,

Going through the annoying niggles on the car (I promise I will take some pictures and tell you all about it over the weekend), one thing that is really annoying me is that there is what seems to be a bulb out on the climate control module. The drivers side temperature is hard to read - not nearly as bright as the passenger side.
I removed two torx screws on the bottom of the module but still can't remove it. I don't want to break it so haven't pulled it with all my might!

Any suggestions as to how it comes out?

Also, 2 other niggles!

I bought a replacement drivers side armrest (the hinged cover on the door), but it seems as though there should be two pins holding it to the door trim as it just falls off at the moment. Do I need to remove the door trim to get to them? Any pictures or hints?

And finally (for now), where is the external temperature sensor and can it be replaced (where do I get one?), the car tells me it is 50 degrees c outside, which it clearly isn't. More like -50!!!!

Thanks in advance and sorry for all the questions. Hopefully I will return the favour soon.

Michael

Hi
You have removed the 2 torx at the bottom, but there is 2 at the top aswell, directly above the digital display, little tricky to see and easy to miss but they are there,4 in total.
As for the door pocket i can,t help, phase 1 don,t have these!,over to the Phase 2 boys there
The external gauge sensor is in the bottom of the passengers mirror, remove the glass and you will see it attached at the bottom, its a case of cut and shut another sensor into place with the 2 wires,if no-one has one i have a few to help you.....!!!

Thanks SAFRANEV6RXE, I didn't notice the two additional screws above the screen - glad I didn't force it out!
Now removed and I will look at where the bulbs go - hopefully they are replaceable.

If you do have a sensor - let me know and I will gladly purchase it from you, I assume the phase 1 & 2 are the same??????

I would rather replace the sensor than the whole mirror unit.

Hi there,

I replied to your pm (twice), but they are sat in my outbox rather than sent items. Hope they arrived!
If not - if you have a phone number or email address, pm that to me and I will reply to you that way.

Thanks ever so much for the assistance,

Michael

PMs show up in your outbox until the other user has read them (at least thats my understanding of it). As soon as Sv6RXE reads it the pm will show as sent. At least thats the theory anyway.

If you don't get a reply (and I'm sure you will) then I will email your email address to V6RXE for you. Let me know if you require this.
