I need to remove the clock display in order to wire up my stereo remote (allow the use of the stalk controls). Any clues as to how to remove it? Michael |

Are you sure you need to remove the clock display to do that? I changed the original for a Sony unit. I think you need an adapter to change the stalk controls depending on what stereo make you are using but that should be able to be done with the wiring behind the stereo. You do lose the stereo display near the clock though. |

As 610 says, avoid removing it unless you really have to. I know I've only just removed all the dash a few weeks back but I honestly can't remember where the stalk connects to. Anyway if you want to remove it, you need to start by removing the long plastic panel above the dials. There are 3 screws holding it in. Then remove the small panel above the steering wheel / below the dials. It pulls off by hand (forwards if I remember correctly). Unscrew the surround over the dials and remove this (you will also need to pull the steering wheel forwards). Now you'll have access to the clock panel screws and the heater unit screws. Something odd here and I can't remember what but one has to come out before the other and I can't remember which. Also the left side is a PITA to get out as I think it is clipped in. Again sorry for being vague, I really can't remember - when its warmer I will get out with a camera and take pics of all these fiddly bits. |

Apparantly, the interface module fits as follows;- Remove the connector from the back of the clock and plug into the interface box (I assume this is how the remote is connected so it now goes into the interface box). Sounds like a right pain - but has to be done!!!!! Hopefully, I won't pull everything apart and then discover that it is a different connector. There is an additional connector where the original stereo used to be but this doesn't fit the interface box. Michael |

The order on a Phase 1 seems to be Remove the instrument surround panel Remove the Climate control panel Remove the centre vent panel Then remove the clock/radio display panel Its a step by step way of doing it,one thing has to be removed then other to get to it,ita a bit of a pain,i would suggest replacing any bulbs in that panel whilst you are there!! |

Ok, clock removed, stalk adaptor installed and works a treat. But...... now I need all 3 clock bulbs as 2 weren't working so I may as well replace them all as suggested. Only problem is I can't seem to identify the bulbs anywhere. Any part numbers or source of them? Michael |

Thanks so much. Renault seem to have used a different bulb type for every thing that needs to light up! |

The part number is 7701041261 at £4.52 each plus VAT,might be worth going to your local Renault dealership and ordering from there. |

Just to let you know, Maplins sell the bulbs at £1.49 each. Much cheaper than from the dealership. My clock now lights up perfectly. |
