During the week i paid my garaged V6 a vist and gave it a run up as usual,i switched the A/C on and didn,t hear the compressor click in,then the SERVICE light appeared, and my heart sank, again it appeared to have lost its A/C gas.I knew that the compressor had an oil leak as there was green oil/dye on the undertray but now it had dripped onto the garage floor, enough was enough,i had a brand new compressor i got with a previous V6 i bought for breaking which came with a mountain or new and used spares. So i decided to fit the new compressor which i did on my back in the garage, this wasn,t fun,but it went well enough. Today i took it into work for a regas, all went well untill it gassed the system and i could hear a hissing.... It wasn,t coming from the compressor but the block connector on the n/s/r bulkhead, where the A/C pipes meet the evaporator. A few years ago it leaked there and i replaced the seals on the front, this time it was the seals on the rear of the block. So i had the degas the system and replace the seals both on the front and rear to be safe. Regassed the system and all was well,i even managed to get it back to the garage a few mins before it poured down,so it was all good in the end!
