Took the Safrane for its MOT today(was suppose to be Sat but rain is forecast!)and all went well,no advises and now has 13 months MOT. Its done the grand sum of 6 miles in the last year(the MOT station is 3 miles there and back)the MOT certificate makes interesting reading as it lists all the previous 4 years mileages,and every year its done 6 miles.... So a totally of 24 miles in 4 years. |

My 16v chamade was like that for about 5 years, only mileage was to and from the mot, and even then in some cases it was 1 mile as i trailered it down a couple of times lol. It along with my S60 are my daily cars now. |

Got a new MOT on mine today. Initially failed on a steering rack boot which was split and a pig to change (an hour heating the track rod end with oxy acetylene before it finally came loose so I could change it) and on emissions. The MOT tester decided to change the car to petrol when he should have tested it on LPG as that is what is used 99% of the time. So it failed on CO on petrol (tested 0.5 against a pass of 0.3 but passed with flying colours when it was retested as an LPG (pass mark 3.5!). Main thing is the new MOT so I can do lots more lovely miles (last year was the highest mileage it has ever completed in one year!) |
