While replacing the right front wheel bearing (needed 15 metric tons of pressure to remove) the ABS sensor suffered a minor accident. If only it had been the other side, where I replaced the sensor a year ago, but the other one which was sop stuck i didn't even try to get it out of the way. The sensors are damn hard to find. The car is a ph2 2.5 '96, the sensor is of a type with a small metal pin protruding out of it. Does anyone happen to have a spare one? I haven't tried it yet, but i doubt it works. The pin is squashed flat but it is intact. I will try to bend it back to the original position and keep my fingers crossed... |

Miraculously the sensor still works. The pin was squeeded flat and pressed into the plastic moulding. I was able to bend it back in it's original place and then cut off the excess 3mm of the pin because it was so deformed. And it works. Too bad i didn't take any pictures of the mess :D |

I'd be surprised if you could even get the old sensor out properly - those screws have a habit of rounding out and then being completely stuck! |

I had no problem getting the screw out, but the sensor was completely stuck in its place. After changing the right bearing the left one appears to be bad too. I changed the left sensor just last year so i i really hope it will come out nicely... |
