Right this isn,t 100% happening but I MIGHT be getting a cheap Phase 2 that's come up for sale at work.
It isn,t pretty with lots of body damage and almost every panel having some issue
Its a silver S reg 2.0 RTE manual think its got 120k on it,not sure about MOT but tax is until end of Sept or Oct.
Don,t know much more, but I might have it and sell on at cost of strip a few bits a weight it in to get a few quid back.
Anyone interested???
Will find out more tomorrow if I can, think its one owner from new!

IF you don't like pov spec safranes then this is definately one to avoid! No gadgets on those cars at all. I've only ever seen one 2L manual and it was a real heap! The european manuals are much nicer than ours!

O.k heres the latest
I,am not buying the Safrane as its worth more in scrap then i offered but i have agreed to remove any parts i want but still keeping it mobile and road legal as its driving to the scrapyard on monday!
So be quick and put in your requests, its a Silver S reg 2.0 Auto Executive,so has climate control etc.
A few things i,ve noticed are
The heater motor is fine,so is the climate panel(non heated screen)and the dash vent isn,t broken,or the door car lids!!!
So i,am going to remove thes plus any other useful parts, sill trims are all nice so anyone got a list of bits they need???

Well I visted the Safrane today and removed all the parts I wanted, very pleased got the following.
Heater motor(climate control)
Climate panel
Centre dash vent(not broken!)
Lower front door cards complete with armrests(Not broken)
A few seals including outer window seals, rear door seals etc
All 4 sill mouldings, can,t believe the condition of these, really nice on such a tatty car.
Tailgate spoiler
Plus a few other odds and sods which all help.
It was interesting to see how Renault decided to reduce the quality of some of the stuff on a Phase 2
I have never looked at one to closely but noticed things like the door seals and A/C post inner trims which are just plain plastic,on the V6 they are fabric.
It didnmt have puddle lights either in the doorcards, although the speaker grilles still had the setup to have them.
Manual rear windows aswell,i,am sure this was a 2.0 EXECUTIVE surely Renault should of put electric rear windows on it,aswell as a rear sunblind...

Mine is a ph2 2l exec.

No puddle lights but the grille holes.

The door seals inner edge is grey fabric which stains really easily.

rear sunblind I assume is the roller blind thing you pull up from the rear shelf mine has it.

Manual rear windows never an issue as the windows never get used due to the climate control.

As an aside my middle dash vent was fine until my 3 year played with it and managed to break it.

If you don't get any demand for these (which you almost certainly will), hang on to them for me and I'll have them off you when I can get to you at some point. The missus broke the arm rest on her side (don't ask, I've still not forgiven her!). In fairness they are appallingly designed plastic hinges. Absolutely stupid design to be honest. I could do a better repair putting metal pins through the plastic but they're a bit difficult to do due to the space being so confined inside the card.

They tend to preserve rather well actually. They don't fade unlike the bumpers black plastic. No idea why but the mouldings I took from both safranes I broke were in great condition. Unfortunately as sods law would have it, they're not needed very often!
