No thats a phase 2 setup for the quirkier looking european versions. I never liked the look of those as it took away one of the heater outlets!

Love the retro look of that - would it work in a UK phase 2? I'm thinking that the vent assembly may be the wrong way round. Not even that bothered that the maps and unit would be so out of date. It just looks so cool!

Not a clue about it going into a UK model I'm afraid. AFAIK it was never offered over here but a car is a car so I don't see why it couldn't be hacked in somehow.

What I wouldn't like though is the loss of a heater outlet - the driver or passenger is going to loose control of their side of the heating.

You would lose an outlet, but I assume you would get extra flow through the other outlet. The side outlets would also work.

If it's retro you want, you'd be better off prowling european ebays for the sat nav that fits in down by the gear shift instead. It has a IR remote control and a special bracket (it really us ultra cool and really retro!). Plus you can let your passengers do things like change the route etc (even in the back) leaving you to concentrate on driving! The screen also accepts a PAL input iirc so you can even hook it up to a reversing camera, onboard computer etc. It's absolutely brilliant!
