Crazy really. You couldn't buy much in the way of parts for a Safrane for that money. Like the seller, I've run mine with almost complete reliability for over 10 years. So much car and so good at what it does. If I had space, I'd buy them all up as they will probably go up in value now there are so few left. ;)

Will do, I will genuinely be sad to see her go. I have a scheduled trip to Leeds next week so am quite nervous that my 4x4 will break down! I had the same thoughts when I bought the Safrane, but it never did let me down.

I'm sure I will keep an eye on the forum from time to time and who knows, I may at some point buy another one!

Michael

Who's was that then? The last 3 digits of the registration plate look familiar but I can't say I remember it to be honest..

I,ve enquired about the seats from this car as they are electric and look in good condition,i might buy them and fit to my tatty K reg but i would need to covert the fronts to ergomatic and attach the electric setup to the rears!
They are in Brighton.

Even if just 1 headlight bulb stops working then it has been less reliable than the Safrane!!!!

Heh, even on the ph2 safrane there is a trick to that too! It has dual headlight bulbs - one dipped, one full beam. When one stops working, swap them bother over as the bulbs are the same - put the dipped in the full position and vice versa - job done ;) No point wasting a bulb that can still be used for the hi/low function that hasn't blown!

The rears are groovy to because they are also dual bulbed. If one goes, technically it's an offence however what plod will really know it's dual bulbed? - Just take out the matching one on the other side and suddenly it looks like a normal car with a working rear bulb on each side
