I,ve never been able to find out why Renault changed from yellow fogs to white so early on Phase 1s after launch,i,ve never found out either the reason why and the exact dates this happened,any ideas why?
Was it some sort of U.K law change....

I think it was just a case that yellow lenses were quickly going to look old but clear white would age pretty well? That and yellow will slightly dim the light maybe?

Its simple really until early in 1993 it was law in france that all cars had to have yellow foglights. This was repealed with one of the many EU harmonisations. Once the law changed Renault saved a few centimes per car by only fitting white lights :)

Ah that explains it,obviously they were built over there so still fitted with yellow fogs,never thought about the French laws!
