I have a hunch thats the car that was on ebay a year or two back that had once been fire damaged in the engine bay and rebuilt. Can't be 100% but the number plate looks very familiar. I agree though, very clean looking specimen and it's a nice blue colour too!

Although I can't afford it, I still keep hoping one day I might get lucky with a nice black one that also has the heated screen. The last one i found was 2010 and i did get the price right down but it didn't have the screen and i felt the seller was hiding something at the time so backed out. Not seen another once since.

Think I'm just going to get this one back on the road and then wrap it in black vinyl wrap instead.

Just found these alloys on ebay - not many safranes in the UK have them (ChrisH's 2L did) but in europe they were quite popular for the safrane:

Laguna 2 wheel that a lot of people put on Safrane's as most Laguna 2's self imploded before they were 5 years old. They look quite good but they are soft wheels and damage easily by all accounts. Being 17'' I suspect they may affect the safrane's ride quality too, will probably handle better but not be quite as supple?

Have to be honest i never liked them anyway - the tyres are too thin! I prefer nice thick tyres.. softer ride and more impact absorbtion when you hit a moon crater in my area lol

They are not good,we have sold loads of these over the years, made of chocolate and i don,t think they suit a Safrane really.

Must admit i prefer the original chinnons myself. Thing is these days any car with alloys is meant to have low profile twatty tyres.. sure they might look nice but they absorb little impact and aren't really (IMO) practical for long life.

The chinnons that are on most safranes are far better in that respect (again.. IMO).

Good suitable breaker here:

Note one cylinder has lost compression so the engine is probably needing a new gasket / head skim.
