Phase 2 auto. Is the selector bit to the right of the gear lever (that lists the different gears) supposed to light up? I know the selected gear is displayed in the dashboard by the odoometer but I'm sure the selector strip is meant to light up when the lights are on!
If it is, how do I get to the bulb?
As with most of the jobs I am doing to my car, I don't want to use excessive force and break the plastic trim so if it doesn't slide off or I cant find any screws, I'm asking the experts!

Thanks all,

Michael

My Phase 1 does light up,you need to unclip the panel containing the selector panel and the bulb is in there,if its the same as mine its a 5W capless bulb i think, its in a holder you will see.

Doesn't sound good!! Hope you escape soon.

Mine doesn't light up either (ph11). I hadn't really noticed it but now remember it looked cool all lit up on the R25 Executive that we had. Maybe it can be fitted retrospectively.

you can make it work on the ph2. The hole is there for the bulb holder, just need to run some wiring. I prefer the stealth look myself, so never bothered.

But I do admit it looks unfinished because of it.
