My Safrane V6i passed its MoT test today after beings Sorned for the past 5 years. It has had 2 new Firestone tyres on the front, a new battery and oil & filter change to prepare it for test. The emissions were surprisingly good and all else met the required standards. It will be taxed tomorrow and hopefully be back on the road as one of the very few remaining in UK.

Hi revalex!

Thats excellent news! One more safrane saved! It certainly looks good!

One thing I don't understand about the safrane is how the black plastic strip on the bumpers fades but it doesn't on the doors? - Whats with that?

@SAFRANEV6RXE if you want to post pictures, you need to use a site like postimage.org. Upload your pictures and it will give you addresses to them. Then you put those addresses here inside [img] tags like this:
Code:
[img]http://www.your_website.com/your/image.jpg[/img]

For multiple images you just use multiple [img] tag sets (remember the closing tag too with the / inside it as in the example).

Another favourite area to go very faded is the scuttle trim panel,i,ve seen these almost white!
As you say the door mouldings don,t seem to fade much but the scuttle trim/bumper mouldings and sill trims seem to get it,so does the tailgate reflector panel, turning the reverse lights almost puple with sun damage.
Still looks great though and alot better than most, remember its 20 years old.

Nobody going to have a go at my quiz?
I will give you a few clues,in the pics you can 2 of the items in the front bonnet up pic.
But most items you can,t see in the pics, theres about 15-20 items in total.......start guessing.

Sorry
Front pic isn,t posted here,so the 2 answers are no headlamp washers,or under bonnet light.
So theres 2 to start with.

The ph1 has headlight washers? Didn't know that!

I'm guessing the rear leccy seats might have been optional?

Just returned from a 550+ mile trip after getting the RT v6 back on the road. After 5 years sorned, I expected some issues to appear, but it didn't miss a beat and returned an average of 29.6mpg. Here are a couple of pics from the trip.

Very nice!

Thats what I like about safranes, they're one of the more reliable cars that renault built. Nice looking car!

I realised today that ours has been off the road for 3 years now :( I really need to do something with it but at least it's not as long as I thought!
