Very rare to see another these days. Was in excellent overall condition as well, just a few minor scratches here and there. The Safrane also got another mention in Autocar magazine last week.

Rarer still that it had the chrome grille!

I used to know all 7 of them in my local area.. but i've not seen any for years now. Whether thats because they've all gone to the melting pot or that it's because i'm not out on the road much i have no idea but the last one i saw round my county was about 4 months ago.

There was at least one 2.0 Safrane that was registered as an 02 plate. I saw it up for sale a couple of months back. I remember back in the early 2000's a northern car dealer (sunwin's if my memory serves me right) was selling the last of them new with big discounts.

Yes, thinking about it I also saw the 02 plate one for sale. T is the latest that I've owned.

Ours have been S, R and another R. Both Rs have gone to the melting pot, the S is still out there being a pain in the grass. Hopefully it might actually see the highway this year...
