Guys, I have Hartge Z7xl engine No. 2...this engine ,as far as I,m aware has only dyno. hrs.& has never been in a car...it came with the prototype, first production ecu & Hartge,s own programmable ecu...this engine is now mid mounted in my 1988 Alpine...my question...the cooling system has arrow,s which show the direction off the coolant flow...the return from the rad.is ENTERING at the thermostat...is this the norm. on a Safrane or is it something Hartge did for running on the dyno.

SafraneV6RXE is not on facebook. It really would be worth you making pictures available to him though as he is somewhat of an expert on ph1 safranes and quirky renaults - he's ex renault parts and still has access to their parts system.

Send him a PM and exchange emails / photos that way - I'm sure he'll get to the bottom of it for you, he's very resourceful.
